Richard Lockwood is the Principal Broker and founder of The Group. He has been engaged in the real estate profession in Salt Lake City since 1986. His experience includes working on the staff at the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS®, a successful sales career as a REALTOR®, and many years as a Principal Broker. He is recognized in the local community as a real estate broker who is dedicated to furthering the professionalism of the industry, and providing a high level of support for his agents and their clients.

A native of Rapid City, South Dakota, Richard came to Utah in 1977 to attend the University of Utah. Following graduation from the U of U, he spent 5 years in management with Marriott Hotels in Albuquerque, New Mexico and New Orleans, Louisiana. He and his family returned to Utah in 1986, and he entered the real estate industry. Richard, and his wife Susan, have two married daughters who also make their homes in Salt Lake City. He is a dog lover, avid reader and enjoys spending time with his family. Richard is active in the community and is grateful for all the opportunities that life in Utah offers especially outdoor activities and recreation.
